About the Author
Buddy Collette is an internationally known jazz saxophonist who has been performing since the 1940's. Steven Isoardi is a researcher and editor for the Central Avenue Sounds Research Project at the UCLA Oral History Program. The project is dedicated to recording the experience of Black Angelenos from the 1920's through to the present day.
