Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. The jacket has one 1.6cm tear to the spine tail front edge, a 3mm tear to the back top edge, light scuffing to the spine edges and head and tail, slightly faded spine, light soiling to the back and small stain spot to the back inner flap. Not price clipped. The boards show light wear, fading to the extreme spine head and tail, and top and bottom edges. "Mary Ward" signed to front end paper (believed to be the author's niece - I have another book with a signed dedication to her). The leaves are tight and in very good condition. The pages are clean. A couple of minor spots to the text block edges and small stain to the back end paper. Measures 20.3 x 14.0 x 3.0cm. 235 pages. Seller Inventory # 706

Laid in is a carbon copy of a letter from the author to the publisher, dated February 28th, 1970 indicating corrections that should be made, and author has made them in red ink in the book itself.
