J. D. Douglas is lecturer in church history, Christian ethics, and journalism at Singapore Bible College. He edited The New Bible Dictionary, The New International Dictionary of the Christian Church, and (with Merrill C. Tenney) The New International Dictionary of the Bible. His home base is St. Andrews, Scotland.

Merrill C. Tenney was professor of Bible and theology at Wheaton College and the author of several books, including the Zondervan Pictorial Encyclopedia of the Bible and the article on John in The Expositor’s Bible Commentary series
