About the Author
Rosamunde Pilcher is the author of such worldwide bestselling novels as The Shell Seekers, September, Coming Home, Winter Solstice, and Voices in Summer. The Shell Seekers was a Book Sense Book of the Year Honor Book. She is also the author of The World of Rosamunde Pilcher. Pilcher is an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE). She lives with her husband Graham and their dog in Perthshire, Scotland.

In The Day of the Storm Pilcher revisits the lives of some of her earlier characters, artist Grenville Bayliss and his family, this time from the point of view of the artist's granddaughter. As in any good mystery/romance, she survives dastardly deeds and manipulations to find true love in the arms of the man she hated on sight in chapter one. Predictable plot aside, the book is fine entertainment, thanks to Hunter's competent narration.
