Synopsis

About the Author
James Michael Pratt is the author of THE LAST VALENTINE and THE LIGHTHOUSE KEEPER. He lives in Provo, Utah, and is host of the syndicated radio program "The Bestsellers".

Pratt has created a family saga and a lesson in American history. Early on, we meet twin brothers Lucien and Norman Parker, who lived and worked with their father in 1930s Oklahoma. Through flashbacks, their WWII years and lives thereafter are examined by one of the brothers when he is an old man. An array of accents, locales, children, and adults are well rendered by Bruce Reisen. There are also Christian overtones throughout. Reisen's narration adds dimension to a somewhat familiar and repetitious work. Older folks, who have lived stories similar to this should particularly enjoy it.
