About the Author

Dr. Jim Mastrich is a highly regarded psychologist in the field of personality development and performance psychology. His books, The ACOA's Guide to Raising Healthy Children (Macmillan 1988), Strong Enough for Two (Macmillan 1990) and Images of America: Lambertville and New Hope (Arcadia 1999), all received considerable recognition upon publication. Dr. Mastrich is in private practice in Kingston, New Jersey where he specializes in optimal performance psychology for athletes and non-athetes. He has taught psychopathology and group dynamics for doctoral students as an adjunct professor at Rutgers University for over ten years. Dr. Mastrich is also a board member of several educational and sportsmanship foundations and is a coach with several youth sports programs. He lives with his wife and two young boys in Lambertville, New Jersey.
