About the Author
W. ANDREW ACHENBAUM is Professor of History at the University of Michigan and deputy director of its Institute of Gerontology. He is the author or coauthor of several books including Crossing Frontiers: Gerontology Emerges as a Science (forthcoming) and Gerontological Keywords (forthcoming).
DANIEL M. ALBERT is a doctoral candidate in the Department of History at the University of Michigan.
