Synopsis
This text was designed to aid in developing the analytical skills of students intending to become managers in the future. Exercises and cases are integrated into the narrative flow (instead of placing them at the ends of chapters or in boxes) so students can get more involved in the material. Scoring and interpretation immediately follow the exercises, allowing readers to learn something about themselves, as well as illuminating the topic under discussion. An entire chapter (Ch. 3) is devoted to ethics and behavior. Ethical implications, international aspects, and personal and management implications are also woven throughout the entire text.

About the Author
Joseph E. Champoux is a Professor of Management at the Robert O. Anderson Schools of Management of the University of New Mexico. He received his Ph.D. in Administration from the University of California Irvine in 1974. Professor Champoux joined the Anderson Schools faculty in 1973. He also is a faculty member of the World Leisure and Recreation Association International Center of Excellence Wageningen Agricultural University Wageningen The Netherlands and has taught in Mexico and Brazil. Champoux teaches annually at the Ecole Suprieure de Commerce Le Havre and Caen France.
