Grade 3-6-- Two first-rate sports stories about an all-girls' baseball team, the Pink Parrots. Plot development, characterization, and dialogue are well developed in both novels, and they are pleasant to read. All that Jazz centers around Pink Parrot outfielder Jazz, who dwells on what color nail polish she should use while she's waiting in the outfield. Team membership and loyalty to friends are well-presented themes.
