Synopsis
This introductory level textbook prepares the reader for the practising laboratory by integrating basic theory (genetics, immunology and immunohaematology) with a special emphasis on the application of immunohaematology. It challenges critical thinking skills while teaching the basics and an approach to problem solving. Throughout the text information is tied to practice through clinical scenarios and Critical-Thinking Exercises that include brief case studies, allowing the student to link the theory to practice.
