About the Author

Charles Bamford is Associate Professor of Management at The University of Richmond, where he teaches strategy, small business, and entrepreneurship. He previously held a tenured position at Texas Christian University. He has won 11 teaching awards including the TCU EMBA professor of the year four years running. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Tennessee in Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship. His MBA is from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, his undergraduate degree is from the University of Virginia and he received an A.S. from Northern Virginia Community College. His industry experience includes roles as the Manager of Business Analysis and Director of Corporate Training. His consulting clients include BNSF, Lockheed-Martin, Fort Worth Symphony, Jubilee Theatre Company, XFactory, Inc.; Texas-New Mexico Power Company; United Cities Gas Company; Delta Thermal Systems, Inc.; and Inversiones Triangle, CA.
