About the Author

Paula Gosling was born in Detroit and moved permanently to England in 1964. She worked as a copywriter and a freelance copy consultant before becoming a full-time writer in 1979. She published her first novel, A Running Duck, in 1974. This won the John Creasey Award for the best first novel of the year and she has since garnered both the Silver and Gold Daggers. She is a past Chairman of the CWA.

First edition, first printing of the novel used as the basis for the 1986 Sylvester Stallone and Brian Thompson movie "Cobra". First published in England under the title "A Running Duck". Later revised and released in the US under the title "Fair Game". Further revisions led to the filming of "Cobra". SIGNED by Brian Thompson who played "The Night Slasher" in the movie. Review copy label is loosely inserted into the book. Signed by Brian at the 2022 Frightmare in the Falls festival in Niagara Falls. Will include a program from the show and a copy of my ticket.
