About the Author
Professor David Francis was a Commonwealth Scholarship Commissioner. He is also Head of the Department of Peace Studies and UNESCO Chair in African Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of Bradford. He has published extensively on the economics and politics of security in Africa. He is the author of Uniting Africa: Building Regional Peace and Security Systems (2006)
