ALAN TWELVETREES is National Manager, Wales, for the Community Development Foundation where he promotes community work through training, consultancy and the dissemination of research. He is a recognised expert in the development of 'practice theory' and has practised, taught and undertaken research in community work for over thirty years in both the UK and the USA.
