About the Author
Michael Reiss is Reader in Education and Bioethics at Homerton College, Cambridge. Previously he did a PhD and post-doctoral research in evolutionary biology and animal behaviour, trained as a teacher, taught in schools and was a lecturer at the University of Cambridge Department of Education. He has been a Vice-President of the Institute of Biology and is a Priest in the Church of England and an accredited counsellor. For further details see www.reiss.tc.
