About the Author

Helen Aveyard is a Senior Lecturer at Oxford Brookes University, UK. She leads academic courses in research and evidence-based practice and has written various undergraduate and postgraduate textbooks on research methods including Doing a Literature Review in Health and Social Care which has sold over 50,000 copies worldwide. Pam Sharp is a Senior Lecturer at Oxford Brookes University and has led a variety of modules on evidence-based practice and nursing. She is part of the `flying faculty' teaching research and critical appraisal in Hong Kong. She is co-author of A Beginner's Guide to Critical Thinking and Writing in Health and Social Care, 2nd Edition with Helen Aveyard and Mary Woolliams.
