Synopsis
Tom is adopted. He has always known about it, but the arrival of a new baby makes him feel not so special any more. He retreats from his parents in his hideaway tree house. Now they have to show him that they want and love him, and he has to accept his new baby sister.

About the Author
Joan Lingard was born in Edinburgh but grew up in Belfast. She has had a long and varied career in children's books, and was awarded the M.B.E, in 1998 for services to children's literature. She writes with equal success for teenagers, adults and the very young.
