Synopsis
First published in 1954, Farquharson's Textbook of Operative General Surgery has become firmly established as a classic textbook for trainee surgeons throughout the world. Margaret Farquharson FRCSEd and Brendan Moran FRCSI are general surgeons, specialising in coloproctology, at the North Hampshire Hospital, Basingstoke, UK. They have both also worked in more general roles in small hospitals in Asia and Africa.
