For being a very small book, it's filled to the brim with photos and diagrams of stitches. You might not be able to start from scratch with only this book; but on the other hand it will be a quick reminder for experienced stitchers and maybe suggest some stitches for experimentation which is always fun. Worth the low cost, certainly.
