Jon Nighthawk and the crew of the spaceship Thunder face their greatest battle in the effort to obtain the last two rings they need to break the stranglehold of Master System and free the people of Earth. Chalker's talent for intricate plotting maintains suspense down to the wire in one of his finest sf series to date. Recommended. JC
