About the Author:

ROBERT JORDAN (October 17, 1948–September 16, 2007), was a native of Charleston, South Carolina. He began writing in 1977 and is best known for The Wheel of Time series. HARRIET MCDOUGAL, former Editorial Director of Tom Doherty Associates, was Robert Jordan's wife and editor. ALAN ROMANCZUK and MARIA SIMONS were Robert Jordan's editorial assistants for a combined 18 years, and Harriet's for 14.
