About the Author
Raśl the Third is the New York Times bestselling, three-time Pura Belpré Award–winning author-illustrator of ”Vamos! Let’s Go to the Market, ”Vamos! Let’s Go Eat, ”Vamos! Let’s Cross the Bridge, and the rest of the World of ”Vamos! He illustrated Schneider Family Book Award honoree Stuntboy, in the Meantime, by Jason Reynolds, and the Lowriders series, by Cathy Camper. Raśl was born in Texas and grew up going back and forth between El Paso and Ciudad Juįrez, México. He now lives in Medford, Massachusetts, with his New York Times bestselling collaborator, Elaine Bay, and their son, Raśl the Fourth.

Each spread shares a part of Coco Rocho's party, such as his friends, and illustrates some of the fun activities that take place at parties-playing games, listening to music, and, of course, hitting a pińata! The energetic, colorful illustrations-a mixture of soft shades and dynamic colors-are sure to grab the attention of little ones, and the bilingual text is easy to spot and will introduce kids to "my/mi" and "your/tu" phrases. Children will enjoy seeing familiar characters throughout, and fans of Raśl the Third will love being able to take another peek into the world of ”Vamos!
