A Discourse On The Study Of Science In Its Relations To Individuals And To Society by Henry Hennessy. This inaugural discourse, delivered for the public inauguration of the Faculty of Science of the Catholic University of Ireland in 1859, argues for a broad and principled approach to scientific study.
