Body And Mind: An Inquiry Into Their Connection And Mutual Influence To Mental Disorders : Being The Gulstonian Lectures For 1870 Delivered Before The Royal College Of Physicians by Henry Maudsley. This volume presents a pioneering medical-psychological program that unites physiology, pathology, and the study of mind. Maudsley argues that mind and its disorders are inseparably linked to the nervous system, and that advances in the physiology of mind illuminate the understanding of insanity and other mental derangements.
