A solid reading copy of this uncommon 1st paperback original. ; Raven House No. 54, paperback original. ; Sigrid Harald; 5¾" - 6¾" Tall; 191 pages; Margaret Maron won the Edgar, Agatha, and other awards for "Bootlegger's Daughter", with North Carolina judge and sleuth Deborah Knott. "One Coffee With" was Maron's first novel and introduced Lieutenant Sigrid Harald of the NYPD. Raven House, an imprint of Harlequin, was an effort to sell mysteries by subscription. This turned out not to be a success. I believe they folded after #53 was published and "One Coffee With" was never formally distributed. Although Margaret Maron continued writing Sigrid Harald books, it was not until 1988 when Bantam reprinted it that "One Coffee With" was widely available. "One spring morning, an art producer at Vanderlyn College asked for a cup of coffee with cream. One coffee came with poison, another without. How could the murderer be sure which one the professor would drink? His death stuns the close-knit world of the art department, for someone in their midst is making an art of murder . . .
