Review:
Rafe Palladin is head of acquisitions and product development for Palladin, Inc. He is in Wyoming to buy back the decrepit castle that his no-good scheming father sold to Dr. Valerian years ago. Rafe's grandmother wants the castle back but Dr. Valerian, who is in ill health, and his daughter, Demi, don't want to move. Demi has her own secret business that is due to begin in a few weeks, so she convinces her father to go for an extended visit to Arizona. But Rafe is prepared to stay put until he has a done deal. At first, this bossy, pushy woman puts him off, yet Rafe finds her very desirable. She is a puzzle - while her clothes are flannels and serviceable like her brogan shoes, Rafe catches glimpses of sexy lingerie. What is she up to? Why won't she sell? Eventually the barriers break down between them. Rafe helps Demi restore and modernize the castle, and he even helps her with her business. Demi helps Rafe to realize he is a kind, thoughtful and giving man, yet he still fears what will happen when everyone learns his secret. It's a hoot to watch these two strong minded, strong willed characters go through an amazing metamorphosis that brings out the best in each other. While Demi sheds her practical clothing for jeans and a red sweater for her business, she also sheds her preconceived ideas about sexuality and she changes from an inhibited, repressed woman into a sensual siren (as far as Rafe is concerned) in a delightful way. And Rafe, a big, strong man is like putty in her hands! The relationship between Rafe and Demi is titanic in its evolution, and that is what makes this book a winner! A truly delightful book by Cait London! I thoroughly enjoyed Rafe Palladin: Man of Secrets! A relatively short book (182 pages) that is long in entertainment! Cait London is one of the best romance authors in the industry! Gloria Miller -- Copyright © 080198 Literary Times, Inc. All rights reserved -- From Literary Times
