Kindergarten-Grade 2–Three stories about the friendship between a vole and a groundhog. Little Rose, a worrier, sits under her umbrella waiting for rain while her friend Riley cavorts in the sunshine. Next she is concerned about what would happen if everybody celebrated un-birthdays. Finally, Riley makes his pal "worry" dolls so that she can sleep. Throughout the book, there is a feeling of how comforting it is to have a friend. Soft pastel illustrations add to the warmth of the text while repetition eases the decoding.
