Synopsis
The squirrels at Mt. Mercy College are getting too friendly—they're frightening the students, making the nuns jumpy . . . and they're super messy. It's time to call the Animal Rescue Team!
Meanwhile, Keisha's got a problem of her own. The Grand River Steppers jump rope team has a chance to win first place in their school district this year, but Keisha's so nervous, she keeps messing up! Meanwhile, Keisha�s family�s animal-rescue organization contends with an overload of squirrels on a local college campus and receives help from a young veteran, who lost his leg. Stauffacher�s story emphasizes responsible behavior when interacting with animals in an urban setting, but the messages are never strident. Fans of the series will be glad to follow the familiar characters through another adventure, although this book stands alone easily, too. Grades 4-6. --Kara Dean
