Julia Sarcone-Roach studied film and animation at the Rhode Island School of Design and her award-winning short Call of the Wild has been shown in film festivals around the world.
Julia now lives in Brooklyn, New York, writing and illustrating picture books. Her books include The Secret Plan - called "sweet fun" by Kirkus Reviews - and Subway Story, a Horn Book Fanfare Selection, which was praised in the New York Times for its "energy, style, and charm."
