Reviews

A new Double D western set in 1923 in New Mexico. Richard Henry Little comes in search of Pancho Villa's treasure, hidden near the town of Columbus by his henchman, Fierro. Villa's map, torn into eight pieces, is the only clue to the treasure's location. Tracking down the pieces is part of the mystery, and finding them involves much violence and bloodshed, as various greedy and murderous men compete with Little for the treasure. This gripping story includes much information about Villa and the Mexican Revolution. The writing is uneven--sometimes brisk and lean, sometimes awkward and verbose. However, the suspense survives to the last page.
