The focus of this work is to develop motivation for maintaining a lifetime of exercise. Its seven chapters discuss perceptual differences between exercisers and nonexercisers and the benefits of being physically fit. Chapter 6 outlines an eight-step training session package: steps one through four provide the intellectual component; steps five through eight, the physical. Use of "workforms" commits the reader to an exercise program through establishing goals, assuming responsibility, enlisting a coach, and preparing for lapses.
