About the Author:

Lori Bryant Woolridge is a fifteen-year veteran of the television broadcasting business. She spent seven years at ABC as a presentation and speech writer, eventually becoming their Director of Project Literacy U.S. (PLUS) Outreach, and also worked at PBS and Black Entertainment Television. She won an Emmy Award for Individual Achievement in Writing in 1983. She lives in New Jersey.
