Adams explores the mental, perceptual, emotional, cultural, and environmental barriers that interfere with creative problem solving and offers exercises and techniques intended to encourage more flexible and inventive thinking. Originally developed in connection with Adams's work at Stanford, the book became a widely used guide to creativity, design thinking, and problem solving. Condition: Good hardcover in Good dust jacket. Jacket shows moderate to heavy rubbing and surface soiling, with edge wear, creasing, short tears, and small chips/losses, particularly at the spine ends and upper edges. A more noticeable tear and associated wear are present near the head of the jacket. Red cloth binding beneath shows some wear at the spine ends. Interior pages shown are clean and bright with only light age toning. Binding appears sound. No extensive writing or highlighting is visible in the photographed pages. Jacket remains substantially complete and presents well despite the wear. Significance / Collector Appeal: A long-lived work on creativity and problem solving, Conceptual Blockbusting uses exercises, visual puzzles, and examples to identify the assumptions and habitual patterns that can obstruct original thought.
