Katahn, creator of the popular T-factor diet, now endorses a "plant rich" eating plan that promises both weight loss and reduction in cancer and heart-attack risks. Before detailing nutrition basics, Katahn extols the importance of incorporating "phytochemicals" into one's diet. Following those general guidelines, he devotes a large section to healthy recipes for dishes ranging from French toast and clam chowder to spinach lasagna. Regardless of the novel rubric pinned to it, this new nutrition guide seems similiar to other low-fat, high-fiber diet advisers. However, with interest in weight management running high and Katahn's name recognition from The Low-Fat Good Cookbook (1994) and other eating tomes, it will find an eager audience.
