In its first three editions, edited by Robert and Nancy Dorfman, Economics of the Environment gained a tremendous readership in courses offered at hundreds of colleges and universities around the world. Now under the editorship of Robert N. Stavins, this Fourth Edition extends the tradition of excellence achieved by its predecessors, offering a new generation of students the strongest possible grounding in the primary literature. The readings in this volume, selected for their accessibility, coverage, and currency, span the full scope of environmental economics, and their authors comprise a veritable Who's Who of the field.
