This is an introductory sourcebook divided into four sections--astronomy, weather, aviation, and space. A brief essay introduces the subject area; associated articles provide additional background. But the main value of this catalog lies in its listings of sources of further information, ranging from career information and major air and space museums to telescope buying guides and space souvenir suppliers. As such, this is complementary to The Space Almanac ( LJ 10/1/89), although its broader coverage should make this more popular with readers. Not an essential purchase, but buy where patron demand warrants.
