Donald Hall and his wife Jane Kenyon (1947-1995) moved to Eagle Pond Farm in Wilmot, NH in 1975; both were Poet Laureates of the State . Hall from 1984 to 1989, and Kenyon in 1995 was appointed New Hampshire Poet Laureate.He was Poet Laureate of New Hampshire from 1984-1989. Home coming for Hall, the sense of belonging to the community and land permeates their writings.
