The second title in the new Mac Keith Press series "Classics in Developmental Medicine", this volume was originally published in 1959. From the early 1920s, Bronson Crothers devoted himself to understanding the nature of cerebral palsy and formulating definitions of increasing complexity. He studied the evolution of the different types of cerebral palsy for more than 40 years, supplementing his case notes with cine films to show the changing nature of the disorders. This book, which he wrote with his fellow paediatric neurologist, Richmond Paine, is the culmination of a lifetime's work, during which he followed up almost 2000 patients.
