Patty Bowman's fat, lazy, and extremely ungraceful (not to mention ungrateful) tabby cat Bandini was the inspiration behind Hamweenie. The author/illustrator of The Amazing Hamweenie, she lives in Brooklyn, NY.

Hamweenie finally makes a break for freedom, plummeting down the laundry chute and leaping through the basement window in order to become a star at the Darnum & Dailey Circus.
