Synopsis
Peer Gynt is a play by the Norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen. It was written in 1867, and first performed in Christiania (now Oslo) on 24 February 1876. This edition features a translation by William and Charles Archer. Introduction by William Archer.

About the Author
Richard Mansfield is an authority on Visual Basic. He is the author of several books, including "How to Do Everything: Second Life". Richard s books have sold more than 600,000 copies worldwide and have been translated into 12 languages.
Louis James's writing reflects his interests in Victorian and postcolonial literature, and his main publications include "Fiction for the Working Man 1830-50" (1963), "Print and the People" (1976) and "Caribbean Writing in English" (1999). After a much-travelled academic life he now lives with his wife and two cats near the University of Kent at Canterbury, where he is an Emeritus Professor of English.
