The interviewees include Howard Hodgkin, Antony Caro, Elliot Carter, Eve Arnold, David Sylvester, Nicholas Grimshaw, Gyorgy Ligeti, Milos Forman, Paula Rego, Harrison Birtwistle, Frank Auerbach, Tony Harrison and Muriel Spark.
John Tusa was managing director of the BBC's World Service from 198692. He is the author of Art Matters: Reflecting on Culture (1999).
