About the Author:
A.D. Lee is Senior Lecturer in Classics and Ancient History at the University of Wales, Lampeter. He is the author of Information and Frontiers: Roman FOreign Relations in Late Antiquity (1993) and is a contributor to the Cambridge Ancient History.
