About the Author:

Ian Jarvie Distinguished Research Professor of Philosophy at York University, and is author most recently of The Social Philosophy of Ernest Gellner (1996). Sandra Pralong is Professor of Politics at the University of Bucharest and an Advisor to the President of Romania.
