About the Author

John Gingell is in charge of philosophy at University College, Northampton College Northampton. He is currently working on books on "Education and Culture" (with Edwin Brandon) and on a collection of readings in political theory (with Christopher Winch & Adrain Little), to be published by Routledge.

Christopher Winch is Professor of Philosophy of Education at University College Northampton. His book "Philosophy of Human Education" was published earlier this year. He is currently working on an important new book on vocational education, "Education, Work and Social Capital".
