About the Author:

Jo Bradley is an experienced trainer of writers and editors for open and distance learning, who has worked in many parts of Africa and Asia. She also teaches various IEC postgraduate courses, both face-to-face and at a distance. Her other teaching experiences include refugee education, nonformal education, literacy campaigns, teacher upgrading and alternatives to formal schools, especially for girls and women. Chris Yates is an education coordinator at the International Extension College (IEC) and he is also the director of the University of London MA program in Distance Education. He has carried out numerous consultant positions in distance education in the following continents: Africa, Latin America, and Asia.
