About the Author:
Beverley Milton-Edwards is Reader in the School of Politics and Assistant Director for the Study of Ethnic Conflict at Queen's University Belfast. She is author of Islamic Politics in Palestine (1996) and Contemporary Politics in the Middle East (2000). Peter Hinchcliffe is an honorary Senior Research Fellow in the School of Politics at Queen's University Belfast and an Honorary Fellow at the University of Edinburgh. He is a former British Ambassador to Kuwait, Jordan and the United Arab Emirates. He is co-author of Jordan: A Hashemite Legacy (2001) with Beverley.
