About the Author:

Dr. Jeanne White teaches the math methods courses for the teacher candidates in the early childhood, elementary and special education programs at Elmhurst College. She supervises student teachers in the early childhood and elementary programs and works with in-service teachers in the Master of Education in Teacher Leadership graduate program.

Review:

"I appreciate the fact that the examples are separated into Early, Developing, and Advanced rather than by grade level. This allows the reader to differentiate and use the problems at any grade level. This book is very practical, since it provides problems that teachers could use right in their classroom."
--Brenda M. Brush, Assistant Principal, Julian Curtiss Magnet School of World Languages, CT

"This is the only [book] I have found that links Common Core objectives, math practices, AND problem solving all in one place. Readers will be able to apply what they've learned and use this as a valuable resource."

--Lynn Miskovic, 5th Grade Instructional Team Leader, Running Brook Elementary, MD
