About the Author:
Michael L. Mark has been a music teacher and administrator in public school systems. He is currently Professor Emeritus of Music Education at Towson State University, where he served as Dean of the Graduate School, among other positions. He is the author of Contemporary Music Education, now in its third edition, co-author of History of American Music Education, and editor of The Music Educator and Community Music.
