From School Library Journal

PreSchool-Grade 2 A rhino, a raccoon, and a bird are asked by Space Control to fly to the moon and fix Zack, an aging robot-scientist. The three are delayed on the launch pad by mom, who won't let them leave without their scarves and mittens. After a weightless trip complete with tangled scarves and boys, floatable runaway food, and a walk in space, they land on the moon. They find Zack disconsolate because he's not colorful like the newer model robots. The solution: wrap him in the bright scarves and mittens. The plot of this slight book is not believable, while the writing is choppy and undistinguished. The watercolor illustrations, while colorful, are overly frantic and add little to the story. Libraries interested in humorous space adventure books for the younger set would be better off sticking with Yolen's ``Commander Toad'' series (Putnam) and Sadler's Alistair in Outer Space (Prentice-Hall, 1984) for the ``right stuff'' for readers.
