About the Author
Robert Siegel won the Golden Archer Award and the Matson Award for the book Whalesong,/i> and has twice been nominated for the Pushcart Prize for Poetry. He is professor of English and director of the Creative Writing Program at the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee.

His versatility is evident, and in the hands (voice, really) of a less-skilled narrator the story could easily have lost its vitality. West is resonant, smooth and careful with pacing and tone.
